Re: Top grossing movie of 1957
Spec - The question was the top-grossing film of the year, not necessarily the top-grossing film released that year.

Re: Forklift driver at a London warehouse.
Julie,
I seem to recall reading that Pete Best had opened a bakery. But maybe in the process of historical revisionism that got conflated with loading bread onto trucks. Either way, I never heard anywhere that he was a forklift driver, so I'm with you.

Re: Political commentary disguised as questions?
I just want to thank everyone for their feedback to/input on my concerns, and I'm glad to learn they are not exclusively mine. Such mature discussion about a problem is exactly what I relish about this and other sites where people can count on finding other thinking/feeling adults. @Justme - Thanks ...

Re: Political commentary disguised as questions?
So, so far there are two (including myself) against using questions on this site to propagate a political agenda, two (including luvredwines, obviously) in favor of it, and one who seems indifferent to it. However, I'm guessing it's not a democracy, and that the webmaster has final say. I would only...

Political commentary disguised as questions?
What's with the sudden shift into political attacks for questions? I thought this site was pretty much apolitical. Aren't there enough other websites, chat rooms and discussion forums out there to air political grievances and attack the opposition that we can keep this one friendly and agenda-free?

Julie,
Are you referring to Apollo 13? That's the film in which Ed Harris played Gene Kranz.

Antigua and Barbados
WhizBang - I'm pretty sure Antigua and Barbados are two separate countries and not able to issue a stamp jointly. Antigua and Barbuda, on the other hand, are two neighboring islands that form a single country.

Re: South Boston
Is it? Well I guess that puts it in perspective. I've been hearing it as "South Boston" since 1995, and could never understand how that related to Nebraska. Now I just need to look up what "sod bustin" means. Thanks for setting me straight on that one. -q

Thanks, Phil. You gotta figure, when you've posted more than 10,000 questions, you're bound to make a mistake once in a while. Heck, I've only posted about 250, and I make 'em all the time.
