Texting Twins

Post by Paucle »

oops, meant to remind everyone what these are. I ran a few quite a ways back, and thought I'd bring try them again.

Old-style cell phones (and, actually, the one I still use) that use the number pads to create texts try to guess what word you are trying to create. Generally, the more numbers you hit for a word, the fewer possible words.
e.g., if I hit 234 the phone will offer Beg Bei Beh Cei Adh as the word/ the start of potential words. 2345 reduces it to Ceil Beij Begi. By the time you're done, if you're lucky, only one word is possible and you add that to your message and move on (stone-age cell phones!). However, 2345464 gets me ceiling, my intended word... but it also offers "Beijing." That's a texting twin. One sequence of integers on a touch-tone phone pad can create more than one word.
