I think you and I may have some sort of psychic connection. I was watching a bit of Jimmy Fallon last night and thinking about this very exchange, and how it was one of the biggest belly laughs I've ever gotten in my life, and wondering why there hasn't been anything nearly as funny on talk shows in ages! I was never a huge Michael Landon fan, but I've never forgotten this one classic moment that I happened to tune into by accident all those years ago.

I remembered it while I was watching that Carson bio on PBS, plus I've been watching Bonanza some lately. The greatest thing about it was that Landon had such a churchy, goody-goody reputation, so people might forget he was capable of such a raunchy joke.
