i know it's a little late for this, as i havent been on in a while, but my question should have been more specific. it just accured to me a little while ago that there was a second commonality. while my question is geered twards the movie versions, i realized that both animated versions of these stories were directed by Chuck Jones. sorry for that omission. that's what i get for posting questions when i'm tired.
