Phil, please check your answer on this one. Many sources, including a Klugman interview, have a different tv show as their first pairing.

In an interview with the Independent Newspaper(published 18/8/96) Jack Klugman stated that he first worked with Tony Randall on the CBS series "Appointment with Adventure".

They both appeared in 'Pirates House',an Appointment with Adventure episode. This was very shortly before they appeared in 87th Precinct.
