Oscar nominated twice

Post by quimboat »

You're missing Cate Blanchett, nominated for playing Elizabeth I in both "Elizabeth" and "Elizabeth: The Golden Age".

Hate to be the barer of bad news, but you're also missing a certain purveyor of organic food stuffs...

Yep, you're right, Betsy. Now that the question has cleared, we should acknowledge Mr. Newman's absence.

(FTR, nods for playing "Fast Eddie" Felson in "The Hustler" (1961) and "The Color of Money" (1986)).

And since I didn't get a chance to chime in earlier, Greenland is not a country, it's a territory of Denmark.

Greenland is a country, what it isn't is a nation. Question asked for country.

(and now everyone knows the answer to the inevitable, Who else was nominated.... follow up. :D

Sorry everyone, I was watching Robert Osborne on TCM and I misunderstood his comment about Peter O'Toole.

Paucle,

Perhaps you're correct about Greenland, I can't say. Could you explain the distinction you're making between "country" and "nation?"
