Which punctuation mark is used in answer - ' (next to one key) or ` (above question mark key)?

I use the apostrophe, above the question mark, when typing my questions to the board. There shouldn't be any punctuation when typing your answers.

This is going to sound weird, but I had never noticed that mark in the upper right corner of the keyboard before.
