I think the first question that this happened to was the Arizona tree.
Why is the q asking for 1 word, but the answer is more than that?

This used to be a repeat of the skateboard question. When Ron edited it into the conveyor belt question, he should've noted that the answer was now 3 words.

Oops!

For some reason two identical questions popped up. I changed the second question & answer in a hurry not noticing the number of words. Guess next time I'll let it be.

BTW what happened to some of the previous players like Phil F, entpcat, seawyf, Gandy Dancer, devilchild, Calql8r, dld, MadSwede10.

I'm so far the only one of those mentioned to still play here regularly. Seawyf was my former "nom." Phil answered a cryptic about a month ago but has otherwise disappeared recently. Entpcat never came back after this site shut down for a while almost two years' ago. Gandy Dancer shows up every now and again under the nom Studley something-or-other. The others you mentioned just don't play here any more, unfortunately.

Oh, and you can edit your question (and state the new number of words) once it hits the board.

It's fine to change a repeated question; you should either replace it with a question whose answer has the same number of words, or note in the question field that the "answer is now ____ words." But you don't have to change a repeat. We had one a few weeks back that was the same question 5 times in a row---but it was a board glitch, because while it was on the board, the board had 25 questions. As they hit 7 answers, the board went back to 20.
