Nothing inherently wrong with an answer being ungoogleable ("Easy Rhino," anyone?), but there should be
some way to get it. I guess on the
Curfew answer, we could've been lucky enough to own the book.

Boy, I gotta apologize for this one. I got it from a trivia book but didn't check out Google before I used it. The answer was USS clagmire (from the comic strip "Half Hitch" by Hank Ketcham) so I searched using "half hitch" ketcham clagmire and only came up w one hit.
